Goodbye Our Sweet Ella Kitty

Yesterday we had to put our best cat to sleep because she was attacked by Coyote's.
Short story is they came up on our porch and attacked her and chased her sister up a tree. We were praying she would be okay but she was just too hurt.

We miss and love you Ella!!!

Kitten Name Change.

Lolly is on the left and Ella is on the right.

We decided that Molly and Lolly were to closely sounding the same and changed Molly to Ella. They decided to name her Ella and it is short for Gabriella which is from High School Musical.

Kittens Names

Well, we found out yesterday that we actually have two female kittens. So one is named Lolly that is the name our 4 year old picked out and it stuck. Now the other cat has had some different names but we voted yesterday and the name they picked is Molly. So we now have a Lolly and a Molly. I am sure to get these two names mixed up. It does sound cute!

New Members of Our family

There is a short story to go along with these very adorable kittens. The girls have been asking me for about a year or more for a cat. I would always make up an excuse. The main one was we already have too many pets. We have a dog and a bird. They would say that was okay. I said we would have to wait until we had less animals. Well about a month and half ago our love bird Kodak died. So about a week later Belle said, can we get a cat and I said no. All 3 older girls have asked me at different times. So why do you ask that I have a change of heart.

Well, lets just say rats and mice are my motivators. You see we live on some property with lots of trees and grass and animals. We discovered that over the winter they decided that our crawl space was a great place to live. So Kyle put out some traps with peanut butter. He caught a rat and when I say rat he was almost a foot long. Now that grossed me out and since that first rat he has caught 7 more. None were quite as big as the first one. He actully caught two in one trap. We also found a nest. This is so gross I am just glad they are under the house and not in the house. So I am now the proud owner of two cute kittens. Which we hope will be great mouse cats. I wanted one but Kyle went to get them with the girls and brought back two. Well, now they can play with each other.

The girls were ecstatic and happy to have the kittens Belle decided to name one lolly and we are still trying to name the male. Do any of you have any suggestions?
