Grandpa Evar

After 2 days of long driving  we arrived in La quinta, CA.  We got there after midnight. Chelsea was waiting for us she had the place all ready. Air Mattresses for everyone. The next morning the kids got up early and went for a walk with Chelsea. We went to breakfast and then spent the next 6 hours swimming in the pool. The kids  love Grandpa's pool. We then brought dinner in and ate with grandpa at home. He wasn't feeling up to going out. We then stopped at shields and had a date shake. The next day Uncle Kirk came into town and we all went in the pool. We went to breakfast  again and then for dinner had dinner in it was so yummy. We spent time with grandpa and asked lots of questions about his life. It was wonderful.  I went on several might walks with  Chelsea. It was wonderful to visit with her since we haven't been able to do that since she came home from her mission. Chelsea spent the last few months taking care of grandpa.
The next day we left for San Diego.
There was also this hummingbird  who just kept sitting in this branch. I figured  out that he was protecting the hummingbird  bird feeder. Another bird would come and he would chase them off. At first  I thought he might be hurt but no he was just a selfish little  bird.

California Drive

When we went to cali to visit my parents, Chelsea and Grandpa Evar. It was at first  just a trip for Belle and Lydia and  Carlee's oldest kids. One of Carlee's  kids didn't want to go without her so my Mom decided that I should  go too. It was so much fun. We drove down. My Mom had foot serjury
And couldn't  drive very well. So Carlee and I took turns driving. We stopped at my Aunt Jinny's to stay the night at the last minute.  Spring was there with her girls. It was a great visit.

SeaWorld 2015

We went to SeaWorld  while in San Diego. We feed dolphins and sting rays. We watched 4 shows sea lion, dolphins, shamu killer whale shows. We rode the Manta 5 times in a row. We saw flamingos and we let little fish sit on our hands eating the dead skin. It was a wonderful  day.

We sat in the soak zone  at the dolphin  show and we got completely  soaked. After the show we were taking the kids picture when Lydia fell off the the bench and hit her head and back. After that she wasn't  feeling right. I took her to first  aid they gave her Tylenol  and an I ever pack. She seemed ok. We went to the next show and she just kept saying she wanted  to go home and sleep.  (Not like her) We watched the Shamus show and then we went back to first aid and and the talked to her and said go. She started feeling worse.  We sat down for a while  and her stomach  started  hurting  and then she threw up all over trying to go to the bathroom. We went back to first aid and cleaned her up the took her temperature  and oxygen  levels and they were low. So she laid there for awhile resting.  I decided to take her to emergency room. They said she has a slight  concussion.

Awards Abound 2015

Yesterday  was an exciting  day. I had 4 of my 6 kids get awards. Emma received awards from 2 different  teachers. The teachers choose kids from all there classes  they teach one kid for an award. So Emma received  one from her history  teacher and one from her botany teacher yeah Emma.

Jenna and Hailley  were both awarded Terrific  kid awards. Tessa received  an award for setting a goal and working on it and did it. Tessa actually  got up in front of the assembly. :-)

Little Man's 6th Birthday

Happy Birthday  I can't believe it has been 6 years with you in our family.  You are such a spitfire. Fun and and strong girl. Love you Lilly.

A visit from Spring

Spring  came for a visit and the kids mostly just played. She made dinner for the whole family on Sunday.  We spent Monday together. Then Tuesday her Dad came and they went up to spend the rest of the week with them. Sailor spent the night for 2 nights it was so fun to hear her and Lilly giggling.  They reminded me of Spring and I.

Since Miley and Gabby don't have Spring break with the younger kids we decided to do lots of play dates and adventures.

Happy 18th Anniversary

For our anniversary we decided to take a trip to the San Juan islands.

  21 years ago a week before Kyle left on his mission. He surprised me with a date. He took me on an small airplane  Orcas Island. We rented bikes and rode awhile and ended up on the beach enjoying  the sun. We then ate at a restaurant for lunch and then flew home. It was a fun adventure and an amazing date.

So Kyle decided we needed to go back. This time we started on Thursday and camped at deception point state park on Whidbey Island. The next morning we woke up and caught the 10:50 boat from Anacortes to Friday Harbor on San Juan island. We had a nice Ferry Ride.

We then headed to the little cottage on a 15 acre farm. It was so nice and fun. They had the sweetest dogs. They love it when you bring your dog. It was just the two of us this time...

We then checked out San Juan island.  We first walked the streets and looked at many cute shops. We were then told of 2 lighthouses and some old forts. So we decided to check them out.

We first drove down to American Fort. There was a visitors center there where we learned about the pig war.
