We are having a funeral for the Bunnies

Well, I just wanted to let you all know that the bunnies didn't make. I tried to do everything I was told to do but they still didn't make it. I know they lived longer being with us then if they had been out in the cold with out there Mom. So we tried our best. I guess Mom's are the best and that baby bunnies really need their Mom's to survive.

They sure were cute and we were glad to have been able to care for them. The girls are planning a funeral for them tomorrow.

Bunny Update!

Well, the next morning Kyle went out to check on the rabbits den and it was all broken. Kyle found another bunny on the porch that didn't make it. Probably because we didn't find it until it was too late. I am the Mom I guess. So we are on day 3 of bunnies and they seem to be eating all right I think they should be eating more but I added another feeding during the day for them to eat. They opened there eyes yesterday so we are making progress. I expect them to be dead every time I look at them. I am trying to prepare the kids that they may not make it. I keep reminding them that they may die. My sister in law a few years ago was taking care of bunnies and they lived 2 weeks before they died. Our hopes is to get them ready to be released back into the yard.

Look what the dog brought home!

 

Today my dog brought home two cute and very young rabbits to our house. Luckily they were alive and not hurt. Since she seemed to find their home,nest,den(not sure what it is called). We found one early in the afternoon. My neighbor was playing with Belle when she heard some whining coming from my dog. She said Shasta and my dog being good set it down. It was okay and she brought it to me. I immediately called Kyle and then to my very favorite friend Google. Which told me how to care for our new little friend. I think it is under a week old because it's eyes are still closed. It told me to buy kitten formula and acidophiles. To feed it with an eye dropper or syringe you use to give medicine to your kids. To feed it twice a day.

So we went to the store to buy this stuff and when I returned Shasta looked a little suspicious with rabbit fur falling off of her mouth. Like the fur the Mom puts in the nest to keep them warm. So we tried to find out where she was coming from I was giving up with all the places a mother rabbit could hide her babies. Miley said I found a baby rabbit and sure enough our dog set another baby down on the ground in some leaves. The poor thing was shaking. I was a little afraid to pick it up but it was okay. So I placed it in the box with the other bunny. So now we are trying to care for 2 little bunnies.

I can't get them to eat very much yet. I found the den but am not sure if rabbits can smell human on their babies or not. Can someone tell me because I would rather it's mother take care of them and not me.

Wonderful Sunny Day!

Today was a wonderful day it actually hit 90 degrees. The girls stayed outside the whole day. We set up a feeding trough for a pool. The girls and I set up the sprinkler so that it would go back and forth across the trampoline. The funny thing is that every time it would get them wet they would scream. I am sure my neighbors were getting annoyed after 4 hours of screaming and laughing. They had a wonderful time.

Kyle and I were able to get part of our garden planted. Then he had to go into work. Yeah, that wasn't so fun for him on such a wonderful day. The girls were so tired by bed time they all pretty much put themselves to bed or were asking to go to bed.
Except Gabby she wanted to stay up and watch the Parent Trap and since Kyle was still at work I let her. She stayed up too late of course.

Well, it ended up being the nicest day that we have had all year and it isn't even June yet!

Happy Birthday Kyle

It is Kyle's Birthday today he is turning 33. We plan on spending the whole afternoon together with no kids. Yeah!! Kyle I love you and am happy to be your wife. You are my best friend and am grateful for everything you do for our family.

Fun New Hairstyles

We decided to have most of the family go and get a haircut this week. We went to see Becky Rappleye. She is a lady in our ward who as of right now is in the singles ward because her husband is in the bishopric. She has a small salon in Bremerton. We have known her since before Kyle and I were married. My girls love to go to her for their haircuts.

Belle's hair was only trimmed and Miley had like 3 inches cut off but it is still hard to tell because her hair is still so long. So if any of you see them would you let them know how much you like their hair or something. I am sure Gabby will be hearing it all the time. It is such a drastic change from the way her hair was before. I just thought you all might want to see the new do's.

Our Newest Little Nephew

We are so excited to have our new little nephew. He is so cute. He was born on Thursday May 8,2008 on his due date. Christian 9lbs 9oz. Congratulations Todd and Jadie! We love you Guys!

Gabby's 9th Birthday Party

 

For Gabby's 9th Birthday we had a family party only, because it is an odd year. When you say family only at our house that is still 30 people which 13 of them are cousins. I was trying to get all the Birthday stuff done in one day. Usually we have a party with Kyle's family and then another party with my family.

Gabby wanted her favorite meal which is chicken fettuccine Alfredo which was a big hit for everyone. We didn't do any games since it was Sunday. We just ate did presents and cake.(I forgot to get the ice cream out) We also made foam book marks for the kids. I had a whole bunch of different kinds of foam stickers and some puffy paints. Gabby loves to read so I thought a book mark would be a good thing for the kids to make. It was nice to see everyone. I think next time family will only be us and grandparents. I'm not sure. What do you all think?
