covid-19 worldwide pandemic

In December we started  hearing about this sickness in China where thousands of people were dying. By the end of January it was in Europe. Feburary we were hearing reports. By the end of February there was one case brought over from China to Seattle. We soon had 100 people who had it mainly at a nursing home in Kirkland. 36 deaths within a few weeks. The disease was spreading quickly. Begining of March. Our governor started closing stuff up on the Eastside. He was asking for social distancing 6ft apart. Seattle's  schools were all closed.

The church closed the temple in seatle. It seemed like hourly we were getting messages about changes in what we can do. They cancelled all stake conferences and meeting over a hundred people. We were supposed to have Stake conference and Gabby was suppose to speak. This was the first weekend in March. She was upset because she was looking forward to speaking. We had our first sacrament meeting at home. We went to Penrose state Park for a walk after home Church. Gabby's homecoming was scheduled next sunday at our building. In the middle of the week the church announced they were cancelling church worldwide. So her homecoming was cancelled. Aunt Gerene and Uncle Doug had come from Idaho to see Belle speak. So we had a family gathering with soups. Kids played in the gym  and we visited with everyone. Gabby had kids ask questions and we heard about her mission.
We cleaned the church. Kids schools were cancelled by the governor statewide. The kids were sent home with packets not to return until April 24th. The packet was not very big and the kids finished it up by the first week. Which I supplemented with other things.
BYU closed the same week the 2nd week in March. They were switching to all online classes. We had to quickly figure out how to go and pick her up and who would get her. I was planning on picking her up in the middle of April. We were back and forth about if we should stop at friends and family on the way or not. I wa planning on leaving the next day when  Kyle heard that they were starting to close rest stops. He decided he would go instead of me. Gabby was going to go but got sick at the last minute with a flu. Since Belle was doing home study school and she went with him. They decided not to stop and see family. They left early Wednesday morning. They drove straight to Utah 14 hours.  Belle got some good freeway driving practice. They stayed in a hotel a couple blocks from BYU. They met Miley around 10am packed up all her stuff and drove to twin falls where they stayed in a hotel. They were home late Saturday night. In time for us to do church on Sunday March 15. Kyle Blessed the sacrament. Lil Man gave a talk and Gabby spoke. We did come follow me for Sunday school. We went to Manchester State park for a walk. It was freezing cold. was nice to have my family all back under one roof.
