Ghost Town

Last Summer on our way to visit my brother Jared in Idaho. We stopped at a Ghost Town in Montana. It was an old gold mining town. It is Called Bannack State Park. It has a whole street of buildings you can explore and we went on a tour. In the school house there was old desks and the girls pretended to be being taught. Outside was an old style merry go round. They really liked that. It was super hot. It was very interesting. It was kind of weird to walk through peoples homes. They had one house furnished with furniture they may have had and a lady dressed in the same clothing. We asked  a lot of questions they had this vacuum you would hand pump to suck up the dirt. I think sweeping would of been faster. We camped the night before at the park there. They say that you can hear babies crying and then they turn and look and there is no one there. They say the crying comes from a home that use to be a hospital and many children died there from diseases. There was also a story about a family came to visit and was in the school and little girl said to a boy that he was in her seat. He moved and then they took a picture and when they received the pictures back they realized that she was a ghost. The girls thought it was so cool. It was worth the stop and I think it was the highlight of the trip because when we came home that is what they told everyone about. So if you ever are in Montana look it up it was fun!!
