Belle's First Day of Kindergarten

Belle has been pretty nervous about going to school. So the first day I drove her to school and when we went into class she started crying. So I waited about ten minutes and she looked like she was doing all right. I waved to her and she waved back. Since she was upset about the bus I picked her up. Telling her that tomorrow she will ride the bus. Well on Tuesday I drove them to school again and walked her down and helped her put her stuff in her locker and then the teacher took her and everything was good. She rode the bus home and was okay. Wednesday and Thursday she stayed home sick. Friday Morning I was determined she was riding the bus to school. I am a mean Mom. We drive to bus stop and we thought we missed the bus but we made it. I put her on the bus crying it was so sad. She cried all the way to school and then when she arrived there was a substitute. She freaked out and wouldn't stop crying. The school called thought she wasn't feeling well still. We picked her up she seemed fine.

On Monday I made a deal with her that I would drive her for 3 days and then she had to ride the bus. So I drove her all week and she did freak out but the teacher was able to distract her. On Wednesday I found out at open house that her teacher might not be at school on Thursday. She was sick. So I warned her and it helped. I drove them all to school it was picture day. She went in the school with the girls and didn't cry. On Friday she rode the bus with her sisters to school. Yeah, she did it!!

She now loves school and can't wait until Monday. I love that girl.

Sorry she had a rough start. But I'm glad she's excited now! Good luck tomorrow morning.
