We will be going on a trip to Canada in August and since we now have to have a passport to go there. We decided to go and get the kids the passport cards. They are cheaper and only last 5 years. The regular passport only lasts 5 years for kids too. We are not planning on going on any international flights. The passport cards are only good for land and sea not for flying. So today I made a trip to get Lilly's birth certificate and then we all made a trip down to the court house. We had to have all the kids with us and Kyle had to be there also. It took about and hour and half. (It would of been shorter if I would of filled out paper work ahead of time)We had passport pictures taken about a year ago. Lydia's didn't look the same and well Lilly is so little. They took new pictures of both of them. They turned out pretty cute. They told me it will take 4-6 weeks to receive them hopefully before we have to go. So look forward to our summer vacation trip in August.

Hey, I'm going to Canada in August as well, maybe I'll see you there! I was also doing the debate whether to get another passport or just the card. And then after all that, and filling out the info, I saw that I had read my expiration date wrong, so my passport is still good! Happy Day!
