Fort Warden with Spring and Aunt Jinny!

My cousin Spring and her two girls came to town. So we all decided to head up to Fort Warden. We got to the top and they were having military weekend so they had vintage equipment there. Playing in the bunkers is always fun.  We had such a great time.

First Day of school for elementary

My youngest 4 kids are all in school this year. Belle in 5th grade with the  Mrs. Ellis and Ford, Lydia is in 3rd grade with Mrs. Fletcher, Lilly and Bray are both in morning Kindergarten with Mrs. Moore who just happens to be in our ward. They love being in school.
I'm enjoying my little bit of time I have without the kids. I am volunteering 1 to 2 times a week at school.  I love being in the classroom and watching my kids learn.

First day of school Vashon

My two oldest girls started school the day before the younger 4. One at Vashon High School and the other at McMurray Middle school on Vashon. They are both going to seminary this year. Abby a year early so I don't have to go to the twice in the morning. They are both loving it.

Californa Trip 2014

This year for vacation we went on a trip to  California.  We started on July 3 and drove to Salem and stopped for a visit to see Grandpa Hoisington we then headed down to my cousin Harmony's. We stayed the night and the next morning we rode horses. It was Bray's first time riding a horse he was so nervous at first but at the end was riding all by himself. Even telling us that he was doing tricks. The trick was to make the horse do what you want! We love Harmony and Dan and the Kids. I wish we could of stayed longer.

 We then drove 5 more hours to Ashland where we met my cousin Spring and Brianna. We went to dinner, Tried Lythia water, played at the park and then went and watched fireworks that were wonderful. We then stayed at my Aunt Jenny's house. She was on a trip but Spring was perfect host. Gabby and Kyle slept outside until the sprinkler went off around 4am. We then decided to just get up and leave we at 5:20am.

We drove 10 hours watching movies, listening to stories. We finally made it to my other cousins house Ian. We had a wonderful visit with Tess and Ian. We spent the day at the Beach. The kids boogie boarded and made sand castles, and just had fun playing in the ocean.
It was another first for Little Man. The bad part was I kept putting sunblock on but, we all got burnt except  Little Man. He wore a rash guard. I think next time I will buy those for the girls as well. After 2 days with Ian, Tess Nancy, John, Kasey and Emily we had to leave. 

We had so much fun visiting my Aunt, Uncle and Cousins. Now off to Grandpa Meyers.

8th Birthday Temple Visit

On the way home from our American Girl experience. I decided to drive up to the temple and walk around the grounds with Lydia. It was nice to feel the spirit there with her.

Lydia's Surprise American Girl Birthday!

For Lydia's 8th Birthday I decided to tell her we were going somewhere that she had to dress up. So we woke up and got ready. We drove up to the Kingston ferry. We missed the first ferry I wanted to take. We made the next ferry and we arrived at the mall it was busy. She still wasn't sure where we were going until we walked into the mall. Then when we got to the store she was so excited. We looked at all the dolls. She knew the exact doll she wanted Caroline. I had a reservation for lunch but because we missed our first ferry we missed our reservation. I called right when it happened and got a new one for later that afternoon. So we decided to go shopping it was fun looking at clothes. We went to the Lego store that was so fun too. Claire's and she picked out some very cool magnetic earrings. She looked so grown up. We then went back to the store where we had a wonderful lunch. Caroline sat in a chair at our table. I would recommend the food it was actually good. We had a fun Birthday lunch.
